SELECTING A SUITABLE FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM

 

 

► How many hours of fire protection that your project require:

+ 0.5 hour-rating

+  1 hour- rating

Due to rapid rise of temperature, the larger in width steel structure is, the thicker required thickness of fireproofing is. Different structures (beam, decking, L shape etc) require the same hourly fire-ratings to protect steel from the same source of fire (tunnel, building, offshore) will need different fireproofing thickness respectively.
